Wash Park, Denver Homes

Wash Park homes populate the area where a local farmer built a boulevard and bridge across Cherry Creek so that he could easily sell produce in the city of Denver. The mix of tree-lined streets, local businesses and beautiful homes make it difficult to envision the farms, truck gardens and saloons that were once here.

There are actually two neighborhoods that make up Wash Park: East Wash Park (or just “Wash Park”) and West Wash Park. The two neighborhoods are what remain of a much larger neighborhood that once contained the park at its center. East Wash Park stretches from University to Downing and Alameda to Louisiana; and “West Wash Park” stretches from Downing to Lincoln and Alameda to Louisiana.

East Wash Park real estate is nearly all single-family homes featuring a variety of architectural styles. There are remodeled Tudors, Denver squares, Craftsman bungalows and Prairie houses. Many of these homes were built between 1900 and 1940, but have been renovated to suit today’s changing technological advances. New construction is also present in the neighborhood, with a large number of high-end homes starting in the mid-$400s and often exceeding $1M.

West Wash Park offers a more eclectic mix of residential diversity. Older single-family homes and duplexes share the streets with newer condos, apartment buildings and modern duplexes. Home prices in West Wash Park start in the high $200s, making it a more affordable option for buyers with more modest budgets.

Wash Park homeowners enjoy convenient access to the I-25, the light rail and downtown Denver. The popular Cherry Creek Shopping district is very close and open-air shopping centers on Old South Gaylord, South Pearl and in Bonnie Brae are right in the neighborhood. Wash Park is a great place to patronize local businesses: boutiques, cafes, restaurants and live entertainment.

The Zip Codes for Washington Park Colorado are 802009 and 802010.
